ZAPHOD??????

ZAPHOD is a band with several musical influences & styles like drum 'n bass, jungle, dub, reggae, bigbeat, electro and pop. The band mixes all these to an own style which they would like to be called as 'underground upstream' referring to their non-mainstream roots and the uptempo-ish music.

Their music is original, refreshing, suprising, deep and is not hard top listen to. This is partly proved when they appear on the Dutch talkshow 'Barend en van Dorp' (see the videosection in Media). Amongst that, the videoclip from first and so far only single 'Born' has been broadcasted for a while and the band was also heard on the radio frequently.

The band is also a powerfull item on stage. In the dutch 'Oor Popencyclopedia' they were adressed as "The steamy live drum 'n bass monster Zaphod..." The band has won a peaoples choice award at the 'Grote Prijs van Nederland'  Dance edition. they also played loads of festifals and venues in Holland and beyond.  

Zaphod took some time off to focus on other things but kept on breeding on new material. Recently they shifted gears and did some shows and a new record is due. 10 new songs are waiting to be released to the public...and the waiting is almost over!
